Nourishing your body means also nourishing your skin with luscious, natural products. Zoe Natural Creations is a company that helps you do just that, with their hand-crafted body care products made with all natural ingredients, and their philosophy of “Keeping it real.”
No different than blending together a delicious smoothie full of good for you goodness, their products are full of delectable, good for your skin, natural ingredients that you can actually pronounce, and are made by mother nature.
Hand crafted by owner Shawna Wilkinson, her natural body care products do not contain any petroleum, parabens or synthetic chemicals. I can be a fanatic reading food labels. And reading skincare product labels isn’t very different. We’ve all heard of the negative impact cheap lab created chemicals can have on our skin, and more importantly on our health in the long term, but there are natural alternatives that actually do what they say, and smell incredible.
As soon as I opened the package, the scent wafted into the room, and let me tell you it is something you have to experience for yourself. The fragrance wasn’t overpowering like some chemical perfumes. It was gentle, fresh, and natural.
I’ve tried a few products from Zoe Natural Creations, so let me give you the breakdown.
First my favourite, the Patchouli Peppermint Sugar Body Scrub. Can you say supercalifragilisticexfoliation? This scrub is out of this world. I rubbed this scrub all over my legs, my rough elbows and heels. It is great for getting rid of dry, rough skin to reveal your soft summer ready self. The scrub has unrefined Shea Butter included so it leaves your skin feeling super soft and with a nice light sheen.
Loaded with sugar crystals, it doesn’t melt away as soon as you hit the shower like some scrubs do, so you can really feel it working. After a nice exfoliation session, I left the shower feeling perpetually refreshed by the coolness of the mint. The blending of the Patchouli scent and Peppermint is just perfect and after you’ve dried off you can still feel the minty tingling on your skin. I used the scrub one warm summer night, which left me feeling ready to jump into my cool, fresh, white sheets. Using it in the morning would probably provide a great wake up call, though I haven’t tried that. Yet!
I don’t think this scrub is meant for the face, but I used a very small amount of it on my face anyway. The Shea Butter makes it very rich, so I’m looking forward to using this as a weekly facial scrub in the winter when my skin is exceptionally dry. It is a tad heavy on the face for the summer months.
Zoe Natural Creations Bar Soaps are made the old fashioned way, in small batches, by hand. I tried the Lavender Citrus. This cold pressed bar soap lathers up beautifully and has a fresh soft fragrance. Made with unrefined Shea Butter, Lavender, Orange, Lemon and Lime Essential Oils, and ground Calendula Flowers, (sounds so pretty!) this soap feels almost good enough to eat, but don’t. That would be a waste. Rub a dub dub that bar all over you and you’ll feel luxuriously decadent, and perfectly pampered.
Another fantastic product that is available on their website is Zoe’s Sore Muscle Flax Seed Pillow. These pretty pouches are full of flax seed blended with nature’s own essential oils. When used warm or cool these pillows are said to help relieve muscle aches, menstrual cramps and even help with your little ones ouchies. So far, touch wood I haven’t had any ouchies, but I did give it to my teenaged daughter to use after her oral surgery. She flashed me the thumbs up sign and mumbled between the gauzes protruding out of her mouth, “yumph I lub it. If pheels betta. Thmels tho ghud” A lot of words from a girl who looked like a cross between a chipmunk and a walrus.
The pillow cooled beautifully in the freezer and the pretty colorful fabric is soft on the face. Nice that we didn’t have to worry about applying any hard ice packs, or worse, the bag of old peas that fell to the bottom of the freezer drawer a few months ago. What a perfectly pretty solution, with a soothing aromatherapy scent!
The best part about Zoe Natural Creations, it feels good to use products that contain natural ingredients, and do what they say they do. The beautiful natural scents are an incredible bonus. And Shawna creates many other products including body balms, all natural insect repellents, and even beard oil for the man in your life.
Now that you’ve scrubbed up and got your summer ready body on, don’t forget your lips with Zoe’s luscious lip balm, perfect for your beach bag!
As much as I’d like to, I don’t want to keep these amazing products to myself. So the kind people at Zoe’s are giving three lucky winners the chance to win a product each.
